About Shohini
Shohini Chakraborty is a high school student whose dream is to reach people around the globe with her music. She has always been amazed at how deeply people connect with music, and that is exactly what she wants to do with her voice.
Shohini has been singing since she was four years old. She found her love for singing by listening to many artists she is inspired by and hopes to be as impressive as them someday. She loves listening to artists worldwide and is often awed by different cultures and their music. She has sung in more than ten different languages and continues to explore more. She is motivated by everyone around her and aspires to connect with people musically.
Shohini has first-hand experience with how well people connect to music.
Since the age of ten, Shohini has been working closely with kids with neuro-diversity and has seen the impact of music on them and how well they connect to the tune of the music they love.
She has been volunteering in senior centers and attending to seniors with severe memory loss, but some of them still hum when they hear their favorite songs. She has seen how seniors seem to return to their young days when they hear a piece of their times and are in total applause when sung by a younger generation kid.
Shohini's dream is to heal people with both science and music working alongside each other. Music and science can do miracles together, which she has experienced on a small scale with limitations, but she wants to be a proactive part of this miracle in her life, working both in science and music.
